Welcome to the Virtual Teacher Researcher Network

Teacher Researchers: Investigating meaningful questions in multilingual settings

The Virtual Teacher Researcher Network is a nonprofit membership organization of faculty, staff, and students committed to advancing action research to improve education. We aspire to create a social community that welcomes teacher researchers to design and implement a systematic intentional inquiry to examine their own teaching with a focus on multilingual learners.

The Network was recently formed by three Elmhurst University faculty members through an Imagining Elmhurst Grant. This funding was designed to provide an online space to develop content, create a social network, and offer professional development for teachers working with multilingual students. This is that space, and it is inspired by the notion that teachers, through community, have the power to determine, through action research, how best to serve the needs of their students.
